Producer view

Run the live show from a table-based control room with the queue, clock, and timers in one place.

Producer view is the control room. Where the rundown board is built for organizing stories, producer view is built for airtime: a live queue, the master clock, segment timing, and story advance controls, all above a compact table of every story in the show. Open it at the Producer link in the app (it is desktop-only; on a phone you are routed to the board).

The live queue

The Live Queue panel sits at the top of the view. It shows the story that is currently live, followed by every queued story in order — the first is marked UP NEXT, the rest show their position.

  • Drag queued rows to reorder what comes next.
  • Each row has two actions: a radio button to set that story live (or take the live story off air), and an X to remove it from the queue.
  • To get stories into the queue in the first place, use Add to Queue on a story row or card.
  • Toggle the panel with the queue button in the header.

Queue and live controls require the set-story-live or manage-queue permission.

Advancing the show

The Next Story button takes the first queued story live. The Previous Story button steps back: it restores the story that was live before and puts the current one back at the front of the queue. This gives you a simple two-button cadence for moving through the rundown on air, and it drives the host view and teleprompter for everyone else.

Clock and timing

The master clock lives in the header: Start, Pause, Resume, and End the show, with undo and reset. Click the time to switch between the elapsed show timer and a wall clock.

Next to it, the segment timer tracks the live story against its planned duration, counting down the remaining time and showing a progress bar. If the story runs long, the timer flips to overtime (a "+" count of how far over you are) and a Story Overtime warning pops up with the story name and the amount over; it dismisses itself after a few seconds or when you close it.

Everything else in the header

  • Filters — narrow the table by story type, host, or tag.
  • Column picker — choose which table columns are visible (title, type, duration, host, and so on).
  • Show navigation — previous show, Today, next show.
  • Notification bell — mentions and comments; clicking a notification opens the related story.
  • Flash button — open the compose panel to send a flash message to the team (requires the send-flash permission).

Editing during the show

Click any story row to open the full story editor — the same editor as on the board, with the same conflict protection, so you can fix a title or update notes mid-show without stepping on a teammate's edits. Changes land on every screen, including the host view and teleprompter, the moment you save.
